A Crime film, in the most general sense, is a film that involves various aspects crime and the criminal justice system. Stylistically, it can fall under many different genres, most commonly drama film, thriller film, mystery film, action film.
CSI
In CSI they only show the main characters in their opening and show the crime scene. They also show the location of where film is set in. CSI is a example of this as it only show the main character and the location but none of the criminals.
CSI is a group of people that investigate murder and other crime that happen in miami, new york, las vegas, the crime that CSI investigate are most solve very quickly so that the are able to keep the audiences interested.

some of the opening of crime have similar method to crime show like CSI. seven is an example of this as they don't show any criminal or character, the plot is also similar to CSI as in the plot of seven is that two detectives have to solve the case of a serial killer who justifies his crimes as absolution for the world's ignorance of the Seven Deadly Sins.
